If you want to travel within Montreal by public transport, we recommend using the following connections:
Montreal's metro system is both efficient and user-friendly, facilitating easy travel throughout the city. The nearest metro stop to the F1 circuit is Jean-Drapeau station, located on St. Helen's Island and approximately a 20-minute walk from the track (it also depends on where your grandstand is located, if you want to be close to the metro station, select grandstands near Turn 10 - applies for Grandstand 15 or 21).
The price of a ride on the Montreal Metro depends on the type of ticket purchased:
A special shuttle service - operated by Montreal River Shuttles - is available for fans during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. Buses run from the old Montreal harbour to St. Helena Island, where the Gilles Villeneuve circuit is located.
The shuttle runs approximately every 30 minutes starting in the morning (from approximately 8:00 AM to approximately 9:30 PM).
The fare costs approximately CAD 5-6 for 1 ride. Tickets can also be purchased online, follow the information here before the Grand Prix.
